“Agent Carter” star Lyndsy Fonseca comes to BostonIFF 2015

"Agent Carter" and "Nikita" star Lyndsy Fonseca comes to Boston, as her new edgy dark comedy “Moments Of Clarity” premieres at the Boston International Film Festival at the Paramount Theatre at 12:45 on Saturday April 18th, 2015.

Los Angeles, CA (April 9th, 2015) — Long Stem Pictures and Phillm Productions are proud to announce their film MOMENTS OF CLARITY will have its premiere at the Boston International Film Festival at the Paramount Theatre at 12:45 on Saturday April 18th, 2015.

The films' two leads, Lyndsy Fonseca as well as newcomer Kristin Wallace who also co-wrote the film will be in attendance, as well as director Stev Elam, writer Christian Lloyd, and producer David J. Phillips - whose previous film "Mission Park" swept the Boston festival's Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor honors in 2013.

The film also stars Xander Berkeley (24, NIKITA, T2), Eric Roberts (THE DARK KNIGHT), Jon Lajoie (THE LEAGUE), Mackenzie Astin (IRON WILL), Saxon Trainor (CONSPIRACY THEORY), AJ Trauth [EVEN STEVENS], Bitty Shram (A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN, MONK), Angela McEwan (NEBRASKA), Marguerite Moreau (WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER) and Luis Chavez (OCEAN’S 13). It was filmed throughout Los Angeles and southern California and is planned for theatrical release in December of 2015. It was co-produced by Corbin Timbrook, the cinematography was by Chris Robertson, and the editor is Gordon Antell.

“Moments of Clarity” is a dark comedy in which Claire (Wallace) is a homeschooled socially awkward girl in her mid-twenties, subdued by her agoraphobic mother Henrietta (Trainor). This repression infuriates her newfound best friend Danielle (Fonseca), the daughter of the local pastor Paul (Astin). Danielle convinces Claire to open up to the world around her, leading them to steal Henrietta’s car in pursuit of Claire’s dream of speaking at the yearly church jamboree. A road-trip adventure filled with hilarity ensues that will change both girls and their parents - mismatched and in hot pursuit - forever.

Xander Berkeley and Eric Roberts, who are known for typically portraying tough guys, take a turn at playing a loving gay couple as Artemis and former porn star Hal Spreadum, respectively. This also marks a reunion for Lyndsy Fonseca and Xander Berkeley, who just wrapped the show "Nikita" and were also in the "Kick-Ass" films together.

This marks Stev Elam’s first feature film as director, having an extensive commercial background. Elam is an International award winning visual/storytelling director whose cinematic style is marked by strong visuals, subtle humor, and natural performances. “This story felt fresh and alive with awkwardly charming characters, I instantly fell in love with the script. It's a hilarious, warm and surprisingly touching film that I think audiences are hungry for”.

Tickets are available for the film for only $10 and can be found on the website www.bostoniff.org. There will also be a Q & A afterwards with the team.

Ms. Fonseca will likely be attending with longtime boyfriend Noah Bean, currently starring in the series "12 Monkeys".

Lead actresses Lyndsy Fonseca and Kristin Wallace - as well as director Stev Elam and producer David J Phillips - will be available for live interviews April 17, 18, and 19, and will make themselves available beforehand for online and phone interviews.

Hope to see you there!
